The call for entries for the second edition of My Street Films is now open.
My Street Films
Each street has its own story.
Each one does not have its own film.
Make it!
The second edition of the competition My Street Films is starting. Participants are required to create short documentary films about a neighbourhood of their choice, which will later be combined to create a cinematic map of Poland. The most interesting films will be shown during the 56th Krakow Film Festival in June.
The international project My Street Films is addressed both to professionals, students as well as amateurs who want to show a fragment of their everyday life or want to share extraordinary stories connected with a region close to them. To participate in the competition, all you have to do is to make a 10-minute long documentary film, telling the story of the place you can freely choose. The best films will be shown during a special screening at the 56th Krakow Film Festival, and their makers will get tickets for the entire festival.
The deadline for the applications is April 27, 2016. Competition rules in detail as well as the instruction on how to submit the film can be found on the website www.mystreetfilms.pl. It is enough to log in, fill in the form and upload the film.
My Street Films is a project of the documentary film portal DAFilms.com. The first edition concentrated on the streets of Prague and London, whose stories and atmosphere were captured in the submitted films, later embedded in the maps of these cities. The success of the first edition resulted in widening the project beyond the boundaries of Prague and London, and discovering other cities in Poland, Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Hungary.
Polish organiser is Krakow Film Foundation.
