‘Hands up, it’s a holdup!’ – is what two niqab-clad women in sunglasses who decided to rob a bank could have shouted. But they took the money without uttering a word, got into a blue convertible and darted away to escape form the police. This story begins like an enhanced version of ‘Thelma and Louise’; however, it progresses towards a completely different, unexpected finale. Reminiscent of a music video, set in the world of colourful commercials and bold posters, this animation may be a starting point for a discussion about consumerism and treating women as objects.

Cartoonist, illustrator and director of animated films. Born in 1987, she studied animation at the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznań and the KHM in Cologne. Her animated films have been shown and awarded at many international exhibitions and festivals (e.g. Seville European Film Festival, Anilogue, Animafest, Mecal). She has collaborated, among others, with : BBC, Boiler Room, Southbank Centre. Winner (together with Wanda Hagedorn) of the Literary Award of the Capital City of Warsaw for her comic strip 'Face, Belly, Head'.
