Free Cow
Poland2023fiction27'Konkurs polski (2023)
A mother, activist daughter and a free cow meet somewhere in the forest. The latter decided, together with its herd, to start a new life on its own account, far away from the human economy But now, cows are to be caught and sentenced to death. Sara refuses to accept it. Just before her final exam, the girl escapes from home to defend the herd from slaughter. Her mother Alicia follows the daughter in order to find out, far away from civilization, who she is, speak amicably with her and make friends with one of the rebels. Optimistic in its message, the film tells us that it is never too late to rebel and parents should listen to their children. The impressive cast features Gabriela Muskała, well-known for her ability to combine subtlety and power in her creations.
