Yesterday Piotr Kamler received the Dragon of Dragons Award.
Yesterday at Kijów cinema, the annual Dragon of Dragons Award Ceremony took place. This year the laureate is Piotr Kamler, a world class animation maker.
Piotr Kamler debuted in 1959 with an amateur animation The City. Later on, he became famous for L’araignèelefant (1968), Le labyrinthe (1969), and Chronopolis (1982). He cooperated with composers who are among the contemporary French elite: Bernard Parmegiani (music to Walerian Borowczyk’s films), François Bayle, or Robert Cohen-Solal, to name just a few.
After the ceremony, was the screening of the laureate’s films – the award-winning The Green Planet, The Hole,and The Heart, Chronopolis,and continu-discontinu, which premiered in Kraków.
