Jonas Mekas received tonight the Dragon of Dragons Award in recognition of his contribution to the world cinema. The laureate delivered a mini manifesto.
The laureate postulated that films, alike every art, music or paintings, shall be saved for future generations. In Mekas’s opinion it’s important to save a film in its original form (16mm, 35mm, video, etc.) to preserve its essence.
