Ryszard Czekała, animated and feature films director, dies at 69.

Ryszard Czekała, director of animated and feature films, died at the age of 69.  He was living in Krakow for many years and was connected with Krakow Film Festival. His films "A Roll – Call" / "Apel" (1970) and "Son" / "Syn" (1970) won in 1971 the Bronze and Silver Hobby-Horse respectively. Ryszard Czekała participated in works of the Krakow Film Festival jury twice (in 1975 and 1978).  "A Roll – Call" was shown at the 50th Krakow Film Festival, in the jubilee section ‘Top Ten’, for which the best and the most interesting films of last 50 year have been selected.

The funeral ceremony will be held on Monday 8th November at 12.20 p.m. Rakowicki Cemetery in Krakow.
