“The Virgin, the Copts and Me” is available on VOD now. The distributor of the film is Krakow Film Foundation.
Documentary comedy "The Virgin, the Copts and Me", a debut by Namir Abdel Meesseh, appreciated at Berlinale, Cannes Film Festival, Doha Tribeca Film Festival and Vision du Réel, was presented in Polish cinemas by Krakow Film Foundation last autumn. Now it is available on VOD.
Namir is a young French filmmaker born in a family of Egyptian Copts. Although sceptical about miracles, he decides to go to Egypt to make a film about Virgin Mary’s revelations, as commissioned by the French television. It will also be a return, important for him, to the country of his ancestors and the sources of his religion, as well as an opportunity to meet his family. However, when he arrives, things get so complicated that Namir will have to make a completely different film than the one he originally intended.
The film is available at iplex.pl platform.
