Dear Filmmakers and Pariticipants of the Trailer Competition,
the Trailer Competition has been organised for the first time this year. We wanted to invite our audience to take part in the game and give the authors an additional chance, apart from the official selection, to enter the programme of the 54th Krakow Film Festival. While creating the Internet system of voting we used the service of a subcontractor experienced in this type of work. But soon after the competition had started it turned out that some participants desired so much to be selected for the Festival’s programme that they resorted to fraud. Alarmed by the information that the number of votes for some of the trailers was growing too fast, we decided to strenghten the security system, but it required the deletion of votes cast so far. We made this decision in order to ensure honesty and integrity of the competition.
We are very sorry for the entire situation and we understand the discomfort of both authors and voters. However, now people who have once voted can do it again after clearing the browser data. In addition, the company responsible for creating the voting system assured us that after the voting is closed it will be able to verify the finalists with the highest number of votes for their integrity and credibility. We hope that despite temporary technical difficulties the Trailer Competition will allow to choose the favorit of the audience who will enter the programme of the 54th KFF
